Fawad Khan is set to star in a new film with Iqra Aziz; an action thriller directed by Murtaza Chaudhry and produced by Maida Azmat. The film will star the completely new pairing of Iqra Aziz and Fawad Khan. The actors have never worked on any projects together before, and may provide a different dynamic than Fawad Khan’s usual pairing with Mahira Khan.
However, the biggest surprise is that Pakistan’s most successful young director, Mr. Bilal Lashari will be starring in the film.
Fawad Khan is also working on another film this year; a romantic flick with Ayeza Khan. The film has already completed extensive shooting spells, including one at the famous polo ground at Shandur Pass during the annual polo festival.
Fawad Khan has been extremely selective with his film projects overall. His credits in Pakistan include just 4 films; “Khuda Kay Liye”, “The Legend of Maula Jatt”, “Money Back Guarantee”, and “Neelofar”. Not counting cameos or special appearances, that’s 4 films in the span of nearly twenty years!
If released in 2026, both films will be a great addition to a local film scene that has been slumbering since June.
