One of the biggest film distribution companies of Pakistan IMGC Global Entertainment is set to produce another web series for Eros Now after successful co produced outing with Wajahat Rauf “Enaaya”, for the same international digital platform.
While Season 2 of “Enaaya” is already in works, a press conference was held by Chairman Amjad Rasheed to reveal the future plan of producing another web series titled “Ruswaee” for Eros Now, this time with Samina Humayun and Sana Shahnawaz as co producers. Scheduled to go under production in March, the series is penned by “Khaani” famed writer, Asma Nabeel and will be directed by Shahid Shafaat, who previously directed HUM TV’s play “Tow Dil Ka Kiya Hua”.
We then headed to Marketing head of IMGC to know more about cast of the project to which she confirmed that Sohai Ali Abro and Feroze Khan have agreed to do this project but they have’nt yet signed the contracts.
Apart from producing “Enaaya” and “Ruswaee”, the company also shared its plan to launch a local Netflix like platform to further strengthen foot steps in digital foray and also announced to collaborate with India to produce three Punjabi films. With digital being the future of worldwide entertainment industry this growing attentiveness to the digital foray from Pakistan is indeed a step in right direction.
