“Saltanat” Premieres Online Five Years After Theatrical Release

“Saltanat” remained one most talked about and anticipated film during early years of industry’s revival as the film was announced with a grand launching ceremony held in Dubai with many notable stars from Pakistan and India’s entertainment industries. Film received a wide coverage mainly due to the attendance by Pervez Musharaf and Farooq Sattar.

It was said to be made with high budget and starred a cast that consisted of Indo Pak actors like Jawed Sheikh, Shweta Tiwari, Zainab Qayyum and Ahsan Khan among others. It also featured an item number by Sara Loren. Film was produced by Aslam Bhatti who also played the lead role in film.

“Saltanat” is directed by Lollywood’s ace cinematographer and director Syed Faisal Bukhari. Film was released in cinemas in 2014 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr infront of Salman Khan starrer “Kick”. Although the later was an obvious box office winner, “Saltanat” however enjoyed a decent run at single screens of mass centers, like Metropole cinema of Lahore. After five years of it’s theatrical release, film is now finally available on YouTube.

  1. Rubbish film with flop actors. The Indian actors are unknown ones out of work in Bollywood. The seeking an easy pay day. The film appears about 30 years old, as always the procession is incredibly poor. Even when it’s now available free no one will waste their time watching this piece of crap!/ 0/10!
