The producer of last year’s blockbuster “Wrong No. 2”, Hassan Zia has been working on his next film for quite some time. Trade has been eagerly waiting for his next film since this would be his first after parting ways with Yasir Nawaz. We at Pakistani Cinema are exclusively breaking the news that Saba Qamar has signed this project.
A source close to the actor has informed Pakistani Cinema that the “Baaghi” actor has signed her contract for this film. Now with that, she will be seen in two major films this year; Sarmad Khoosat’s “Kamli” being the first.
Talking of film, it’s said to be a light-hearted entertainer and is written by Mohsin Ali, who previousely penned “Wrong No. 2”. The film will be directed by music video director Saqib Khan who made his directorial debut on TV with “Gul-o-Gulzar” last year. The untitled film will be produced through the collaboration of Mastermind Productions (Hassan Zia) and JB Films (Jameel Baig of Nueplex cinemas and Excellency Films).
While Saba Qamar is confirmed as a female lead, rumour has it that Bilal Ashraf might be playing the male lead. However, as per our sources, he has been offered the role but there is nothing on paper yet.
