Just yesterday, Epk published the news of TV actor Syed Jibran making his film debut, without giving much about the project. And in our dig to find out more, it was revealed that it’s the same project starring Saba Qamar in lead.
Does that mean Jibran is playing the role that previously Bilal Ashraf was rumored to play? Well no! As according to our source “Apart from Saba, the film is driven by two male characters, Jibran being one them. The other lead actor, for the character which Bilal Ashraf was supposed to play, is yet to be locked”.
Hailing from Rawalpindi, Jibran started his acting career with PTV’s Islamabad station and made his name in TV industry with his impactful performances in serials like “Chup Raho”, “Ishq Parast”, “Khoat”, “Khudgharz” and most recently “Ranjha Ranjha Kardi”, to name a few. He bagged his Lux Style Award nomination for his highly convincing portrayal of a negative character in Sajal Aly starrer “Chup Raho”. With countless applaud worthy performances on his portfolio, Jibran’s debut in films is one to watch out for.
Talking of film, the yet untitled project is produced by Jameel Baig and Hassan Zia and is a collaboration between Jameel Baig Films and Mastermind Productions. Film is written by “Wrong No” writer, Mohsin Ali, and will be directed by Saqib Khan who recently directed “Gul-o-Gulzar”, a TV serial for ARY Digital.
With Jibran and Saba Qamar being already singed, we are now waiting for the other lead actor to get finalized. Stay tuned for more updates.
