Recently “Lafangey: Chapter One” joined the Eid dangal alongside “The Legend of Maula Jatt”, “Tich Button” and “Fast And Furious 9”, making the competition even fiercer. We reached out to the producer of the movie Tariq Habib Rind to know more about the release plans.
Talking to Pakistani Cinema Tariq disclosed that Everyday Pictures will be distributing the movie in Pakistan. Which means that this has also turned into a competition between the four big distributors of the industry. Geo Films is distributing “TLMJ”, “Tich Button” is being distributed by ARY Films, Eveready Pictures and Cinepax will be distributing “Lafangey:Chapter One” and “Fast and Furious 9” respectively.
Talking about the decision of releasing the movie opposite the other three biggies and its possible outcomes in terms of Boxoffice businesses of the four films Tariq said “Every film has its own destiny. We had planned the movie for Eid release 6 months back. The genre of our movie being “Horror Comedy” we are sure the movie will create its own space and audience without damaging other films”
“We strongly believed that the genre of the movie suits Eid audiences, So we fancied Eid to be the perfect time for the movie to release and we say thanks to Everyday Pictures for understanding our perspective”
Directed by Abdul Khaaliq Khan the movie has the talented Sami Khan, Mani, Mobeen, Saleem Mairaj as the four (Lafangeys) and the promising Nazish Jahangir as the leading lady.
