Indian OTT platform Zee5 yesterday announced that their next project will feature Pakistani heartthrobe Fawad Khan opposite extremely talented Sanam Saeed. The news has got excitement of fans of the “Zindgi Gulzar Hai” duo going through the roof.
The yet untitled show will mark the reunion of everyone’s favourite “Zindgi Gulzar Hai” pair after eight years and has already gone on floors in Hunza. According to director Asim Abbasi, who previously helmed the much acclaimed “Churails” for Zee5, the project is a blend of “magical realism and supernatural fantasy within a family reunion setting.”
According to the makers of the show, “Fawad plays a single parent; charming but ridden with guilt for what he has lost. With his son, he tries to be every bit the father his own father was and wasn’t. Sanam plays the central female character in the series. Harbouring otherworldly secrets, she takes it upon herself to heal, and make whole, everyone who surrounds her,” the note from the makers read.

Fawad Khan, who recently turned 40, expressed excitement for the project saying, “I loved Abbasi’s film Cake. This untitled project, in my opinion, is like Cake on steroids. It’s a family drama with a supernatural/magical tarka [seasoning]. I jumped at the opportunity as soon as I read the script, and it’s been an amazing ride.”
Talking about the project Sanam told: “This new project embarks on a fantastical journey with some stunning performances by a very meticulously picked cast. I can’t wait for everyone to see the magic that’s been created in this beautiful limbo land.”
