Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat and Kubra Khan starrer “London Nahi Jaunga” has been minting money, both in Pakistan as well as in overseas, since its release. It has crossed 40 crore PKR milestone worldwide by collecting 20.6 crore from Pakistan and 19.5 crore from overseas till Friday.
Though the film started slow in UK when compared with Humayun’s previous films like “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2”, “Punjab Nahi Jaungi” and even “Bin Roye”, but it has successfully maintained its hold over the UK box office by remaining in top 10 box office chart for two consecutive weeks.
On third weekend, film has collected £46,710 (1.2 crore PKR) which is even better than the opening weekend of Yash Raj Films’ major release “Shamshera” starring Ranbir Kapoor that released this Friday which could collect only £43,688 over its opening weekend. “London Nahi Jaunga” has so far collected £317,930 (8.67 crore PKR) at UK box office.
The Nadeem Baig directed has also achieved another milestone by becoming the highest grossing Pakistani film in Australia by surpassing the lifetime business of “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2” which was 62,416 Australian dollars. The film has so far earned 71,085 Australian dollars (1.12 crore PKR) from Australia.
