James Gunn, the writer-director of “Superman” (2025) and CEO of DC Studios, teased the fans with first look of David Corenswet in the costume of Superman. James shared the first look on his social media on Monday.
Corenswet, who has replaced Henry Cavil in the “Superman” franchise, has appeared before in Netflix series “The Politician” (2019) and “Hollywood” (2020) and a few feature films out which horror drama “Pearl”(2022) deserves a mention.

Replacing Henry Cavil, who served as “Superman” for over a decade (since “Man of Steel” (2013), broke the hearts of many. However, the first look of Corenswet in the costume has somehow restored the faith of many loyal fans of the franchise.

“Superman” also stars Emmy winner Rachel Brosnahan opposite Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult as the prime antagonist. Film will release in cinemas Summers next year on July 11, 2025 by Warner Bros.
