Teaser: ‘Neelofar’ Promises to Offer Love to Pakistani Cinema

It’s been many years since the first announcement of ‘Neelofar’, and on the 12^th of October, 2025, the first teaser for the film finally dropped.

Starring the ‘Humsafar’ duo, Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan, the film tells the story of Neelofar, played by Mahira Khan, a visually impaired woman who entrances Fawad Khan’s character. The teaser gives up little else than that Neelofar loves life and shows Fawad Khan’s character how to live it to its full.

While this is a trope that we’ve seen many times in films, a good old-fashioned love story may be the adrenaline shot that Pakistani cinema needs right now. We haven’t had an old-fashioned love story from the new wave yet. Of course there have been strong dramas like ‘Bin Roye’, ‘Parey Hut Love’ and ‘Janaan’, but there hasn’t been a firecracker of a love story to set the screen on fire. ‘Neelofar’ could be it.

Neelofar will hit theaters on the 28^th of November.
