2025’s Highest Grossing Films at the Pakistani Box Office

2025 has been a good year for the local box office. People have thronged to the theaters to watch local films, Hollywood films, and other foreign films including those from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Japan. They’ve also gone for all sorts of genres including romance, horror, anime, 3D animation, and action films.

So, here are the top grossing films of this year at the local box office.

Note: Since there is no unified source for box office numbers in Pakistan, we have pulled the figures listed here from a variety of sources. These include industry news sources, film producers, and Box Office Mojo.

1.  Sardaarji 3 – 51.4 Cr

The undisputed champion of the local box office in 2025 was Sardaarji 3. The Indian Punjabi film starring Diljit Dosanjh and Hania Aamir worked its magic and audiences flocked to see it in hordes.

Even with the controversy that led to the film being banned in its home country, Sardaarji 3 was a money spinner at the international box office, and especially in Pakistan. Its approximate final gross of over 51 Cr stands as the ultimate winner at the 2025 Pakistani box office.

2.  Love Guru – 45 Cr

Humayun Saeed proved that his consistency and stardom is second to none at the Pakistani box office. With Love Guru minting a mammoth 45 Cr at the local box office and a personal record setting 80 Cr worldwide, Humayun Saeed proved the naysayers wrong.

Along with the JPNA franchise, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, and London Nahi Jaunga, this is his fifth consecutive box office hit. The man is in a league of his own, generating hit after hit without a miss.

3. Jurassic World: Rebirth – 22.3 Cr

The next film on our list is the latest entry in the Jurassic Park franchise. Jurassic World: Rebirth starring Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali was the lowest grosser among the Jurassic World sequels, but it still made a ton of money at the worldwide box office.

In Pakistan, the film minted over 22 Cr and proved that audiences are still in love with dinosaurs and monster movie adventures. With more Godzilla, King Kong, and monster movies in the pipeline, local audiences will keep getting their fill.

4. Deemak – 17.7 Cr

A horror film on a list of highest grossers! That’s something you don’t see every day. What’s even rarer is that it’s a Pakistani film! Deemak made history as the first commercially successful horror film from Pakistan.

Rafay Rashdi’s gamble paid off, and audiences kept Deemak in theaters for months afters its Eid release. This has led to a domestic total of 17.7 Cr. Currently, the film is successfully touring in international markets and has racked up a global total of 20.6 Cr.

There have been cult horror hits from Pakistan before like the classic Zinda Laash, or the indie Zibahkhana, and even the festival darling In Flames. However, no horror film has come close to the commercial success of Deemak.

5. Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning – 17 Cr

Tom Cruise’s alleged final outing as super spy Ethan Hunt was always going to be a money spinner at the box office. Die hard fans came to watch the finale of the franchise and were awestruck by the incredible action sequences including the submarine descent and the final air battle.

With a total of 17 Cr, Tom Cruise managed to weave his movie magic again and rope in fans for a final wild ride.

6. F1 – 17 Cr

This is the most successful film of Brad Pitt’s career and it’s a visual marvel. Made by the same team behind Top Gun: Maverick, F1 features incredibly well shot racing sequences; perhaps the best ever shot on screen. It also features a beautiful soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, and a compelling redemption story.

For its one-of-a-kind experience, F1 managed to generate 17 Cr worth of footfalls at the Pakistani box office.

7. Enna Nu Rehna Sehna Ni Aunda – 21.5 Cr

This is another Indian Punjabi film that made big money at the local box office. A co-production starring Imran Ashraf and Jassie Gill, it proved that Indian Punjabi films have a huge audience in Pakistan.

While this one was not particularly well promoted or featured a novel story, it still managed to generate consistent foot traffic. With a total of over 21.5 Cr, the film along with Sardaarji 3 is proof that the co-production formula can do wonders for Pakistan.

8. Neelofar – 10 Cr

Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s first romantic film was always going to tug at the heartstrings, and it did enough to mint a respectable total at the local box office. Neelofar’s 10 Cr total is just the latest figure we have; it’s still running in theaters.

9. Ballerina – 7.5 Cr

From the world of John Wick, this film starring Ana De Armas minted more than a few paisas at the box office. Ballerina, according to reports by Box Office Mojo, collected 7.5 Cr. According to the same source, John Wick: Chapter 4 collected nearly the same total from Pakistan in 2024. That means nearly the entire audience of the John Wick franchise in Pakistan showed up for Ballerina.

10. How to Train Your Dragon (Live Action) – 4.3 Cr

The live action remake of How to Train Your Dragon performed very well at the international box office, though it was probably not as beloved as the original animated film. Fans in Pakistan also came out to watch the remake and generated footfalls of over 4 Cr.
