October is the beginning of the holiday season around the world. Halloween is just around the corner, to be followed by Black Friday in November, and Christmas in December. Which means that a barrage of international releases are coming to theaters starting in October. Here are October releases that will hit cinemas this Friday on October 18.
Zombieland: Double Tap
This is for those who have been waiting ten years for a sequel. Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, and the crazy Woody Harrelson, this has been one of the most anticipated sequels for a cult film. The film follows the continuing adventures of the four survivors of the zombie apocalypse as they’re joined by Luke Wilson, and Thomas Middleditch. Catch it this weekend.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
Disney’s live action remakes have been delivering massive returns at the box office. However, this is more than a reimagining, it’s an entirely different take on Maleficent, the villain from Sleeping Beauty. Starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning, as well as Michelle Pfeiffer, “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” follows the iconic villain’s descent into madness. Disney fans shouldn’t miss this one. It comes out this Friday.
