Being Shaan Shahid’s fan the fact that the superstar has been appearing only in his own home produced and self directed films lately, must be bugging you. You must have been agitated by the production houses’s inclination of working within their certain camps with their favourites actors. For the same reason we haven’t observed Shaan being approached by leading production companies for any film project in last few years. But this phenomena seems to be changing soon as Shaan has been approached by Yasir Jaswal for his next action flick.
The mega star in an exclusive conversation with Pakistani Cinema revealed that he is in discussion with Yasir Jaswal, the director of 2015’s “Jalaibee”, for his next film and this is one of the reasons he was spotted in Islamabad with Jaswal brothers, few weeks ago. After coming across the news we had our next lineup of questions ready regarding the genre, expected release date & more to which he responded:
“Its an action film and I liked the idea and story”, answered Shaan, “The film is untitled yet and the script is also not yet done but the best thing about this project is their approach of developing the screenplay and dialogues after getting actors locked for it. It’s a very professional way of developing the script as every actor has something different to bring to the table and to add to the film’s narrative”.
Jaswal brothers were found quite fond of Shaan on their visit to Lahore in August last year, as they shared a selfie with superstar on instagram, captioned “This beautiful man is pure Love. Treats us like his younger siblings. Shows unconditional support and has nothing but positivity shinning through him”

Shaan, after his recent visit to Islamabad had a similar kind of experience with them, as while speaking to Pakistani Cinema, he reciprocated with words like “These are amazing guys. Very professional and great people to work with. They make it easy and fun to work with them”
While Shaan’s revelation made us excited, we found it needful to approach Yasir to know more on whats cooking “Yes we are in works for two ideas. One is action flick while the other one is slightly off beat film” Yasir confirmed continuing “The one with action genre is expected to go into production first but right now its too early to say anything as script is at very early stages. We will start working on it once Zarrar releases as Shaan is right now much occupied with Zarrar.”
Now we at Pakistani Cinema hope and wish that this project sees day light and we get to see Shaan more often on silver screen.
