Directed by Kamran Akbar Khan, known for directing the chartbuster drama serial “Yeh Zindagi Hai”, and produced by Hanif Mohammad, “Halla Gulla” was released in cinemas on Eidul Azha 2015. The film opened to a lukewarm reception by critics and cinegoers alike. Film was released opposite to “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani”, a huge film with an ensemble star cast and great production value.
The news now is that this rom-com from 2015 is now re-releasing in cinemas across Pakistan this Friday, i-e, tomorrow. The announcement was made on eleventh hour of release and has left us wondering what the makers of this film were thinking while deciding to re-release a four year old film without any promotions (not even an official announcement)?
