In the era where Pakistani cinema started to breath again and that too when Bollywood content is no more appreciated in the cinema after the recent dispute over Kashmir, the re-release of the local content is more than a good call.
Mikaal Zulfiqar and Armeena Rana Khan’s starrer “Sherdil” is hitting cinemas again on 14thAugust (the third day of Eid )as the film revolves around air force and it boosts patriotism.“Sherdil” already is one of the highest grossing movies of the year and the re-release on the relevant day seems like a right move.
The sequel of “Wrong No.”directed by Yasir Nawaz, is also given a re-release at 18 different cinemas of Pakistan across Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sialkot and Gujranwala. The rom-com, starring the gorgeous Neelam Muneer and the talented Sami Khan, will be on the screens for all the three days of Eid.
Now the face-off is not just between the new releases but the already released movies are also up for the most constructive battle of the year within Pakistani cinema.
Let’s see how this enthralling face-off turns up this Eid.
