Yasir Hussain and Sana Fakhar Join the Cast of "Chaudhry-The Martyr"

We all are familiar with ”Chaudhry The Martyr”, the biopic announced on the life of SP Chaudhry Aslam. Directed by Azeem Sajjad the movie is a tribute to the Martyr for his audacious services in police department. In a career spanning around 24 years he rendered services on several important ranks and is known for eradicating target killers, gang wars and terrorists before getting assassinated in 2011.

Earlier we reported our readers that Chaudhry’s own cousin Chaudhry Tariq Aslam and a DSP himself will be seen playing role of Chaudhary and that actor Shamoon Abbasi would be seen playing a pivotal role and also famous model Zara Abid is making her acting debut with this biopic. But recently a BTS picture featuring big names like Sana Fakhar, Yasir Hussain and Salim Mairaj from the sets of the film got us intrigued and we at Pakistani Cinema approached director of the movie, Azeem Sajjad to know more.

Azeem confirmed that all these stars are actually part of film’s principle cast and are not there for a cameo appearance. About their roles Azeem exclusively revealed to us that, Sana is essaying role of Chaudhary’s wife while Yasir Hussain is playing a journalist. In his words,

“Yasir is playing a very ambitious journalist who is curious about Aslam and is into fact finding regarding him and Karachi’s situation. It’s actually Yasir’s character who is narrating Aslam’s biopic in film so it’s a very important character. And Sana is playing Chaudhry’s wife, another very important character. She will be seen as a very elegant lady who stands by his husband throughout.”

Here we remind you that Yasir Hussain was last seen on cinema screens this year in a cameo appearance in Saqib Malik’s “Baaji” while Sana Fakhar’s last appearance was of a lead actress in this year’s Yasir Nawaz’s film “Wrong No. 2”.
