‘Parizaad’ Opened to Good Response at Box Office

HUM TV’s serial “Parizaad” remained a sensation during 2011. From TRP ratings to online views, the serial outshined all other TV shows on every popularity chart. The serial was lauded for it’s unique characters and stellar performances by entire cast. Ahmed Ali Akbar, in particular, gained immense popularity for his realistic portrayal of the titular ‘Parizaad’.

The Final episode of the serial was released in cinemas all across the country on Friday, four days prior to getting on-air on television. Unlike the first episode of “Sang-e-Mah”, the final episode of “Parizaad” opened to good numbers at box office. Film generated an opening of 50 lacs PKR on Friday.

Although the opening figures of 50 lacs seem very less when compared to the box office opening of 2019’s blockbuster “Mery Pass Tum Ho” which opened to 2.5 crores PKR. However, when compared with the box office performance of local films post pandemic, these numbers appear reasonably good.
