Horror-comedy flick “Lafangey” was scheduled to release on Eid-ul-Azha beside “London Nahi Jaunga”, “Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad” and “Thor: Love and Thunder”. The film was passed by provincial censor boards after few cuts but the Central Board of Film Censors banned the film on 4th July for the adult jokes and vulgar language.
The film was then presented for a full board preview today on 7th of July and after few cuts the CBFC has allowed the film to release in cinemas with Adult certificate. Talking to PakistaniCinema.net, the director of film Khaaliq Khan was elated to confirm the news.“I am truly thankful to the members of board for supporting us”, said Khan.
About the release of film on Eid, he said, “We just got the permission today and have just two days till Eid. But we will begin to make the DCP our film by tomorrow and will InshaAllah be releasing it in cinemas on Sunday. Fingers crossed”.
Film stars Sami Khan, Mani, Mubeen Gabol, Saleem Mairaj, Nazish Jahangir and Behroz Sabzwari in titular roles.
