Zarrar Kahn’s acclaimed psychological thriller film “In Flames” is all set for a theatrical release in the UK. At first the community screenings will commence from May 21 prior to its theatrical release on May 24.
The director took to Instagram to announce the news, “I am a little bit too cheesed seeing the British Film Institute lottery logo before the UK trailer of our film. Likely because so many of my favorite contemporary films were supported through the program from ‘Limbo’ by Ben Sharrock to ‘Saint Maud’ by Rose Glass.”

Not just that, “In Flames” is now available to stream on all Video-On-Demand (VOD) platforms. For the unversed, the film premiered at Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight in 2023 and was showcased at various international festivals, such as Toronto, Pingyao, and Red Sea, where it secured the top award.
In our 2nd edition of Pakistani Cinema Awards (2024), “In Flames” bagged awards in four category: Best Director, Best Actor (Bakhtawar Mazhar), Best Editing and Best Sound Design. It was also Pakistan’s submission for the Oscars’ international category.
