“Kudi Haryane Val Di” Box Office Pakistan: Opens to Decent Start Despite Late Release

“Kudi Haryane Val Di”, an Indian Punjabi film starring Sonam Bajwa and Ammy Virk, released in India on June 14. The film opened to a slow start in domestic market and managed to collect over 6 crore in first two weeks.

In Pakistan the film got a delayed release on July 26 with Hollywood summer blockbuster “Deadpool & Wolverine” and Pakistani anime movie “The Glassworker”. According to box office trade analyst Ali Zain, “Kudi Haryane Val Di” rakes in PKR 1.2 crore from Pakistan in first five days.

The first five day business appears to be low considering the star cast of the film, but these are actually decent numbers if we take into account the late release of the film. The film also got hit by the “Deadpool & Wolverine” and also “Jatt & Juliet 3” which is still steady at box office. The five day gross of the film is almost equal to the first weekend gross of “The Glassworker” (PKR 1.1 crore).

Sonam Bajwa has a massive fan following in Pakistani Punjab and that is reflected in the box office performance of her latest film despite a late release. Her film “Carry on Jatta 3” is still the highest grossing Indian Punjabi film in Pakistan and the only one to hit the PKR 28 crore ceiling, as of yet.
