This Eid Ul Azha, Distribution Club will be releasing a major anthology film in cinemas. Comprising 3 different stories, each will be directed by a different known filmmaker from the Pakistani film industry and is produced by See Prime. Nabeel Qureshi’s Horror Comedy
The first film in the anthology will be a horror comedy helmed by Nabeel Qureshi; known for the “Na Maloom Afraad” series, “Actor in Law”, “Load Wedding” and “Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad”. The film will star the husband-and-wife duo, Salman Saqib (Mani) and Hira Mani. The project has completed shooting.
Nadeem Baig’s Intense Drama
The second film in the roster is an intense drama penned by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar and directed by Nadeem Baig. The director-writer pair have worked repeatedly on films and TV starring Humayun Saeed and are well known for “Punjab Nahi Jaungi”, “London Nahi Jaunga” and TV serials like “Dil Lagi” and “Meray Paas Tum Ho”. Their film will star the 2023’s sensation Wahaj Ali opposite Mehwish Hayat. The project has wrapped up shooting.
Marina Khan’s Mystery Script
In her film directing debut, veteran actress Marina Khan will also be presenting a mystery script in the film. There are no details yet as to what this project is and which stars are attached to it.
When this anthology film does come out on Eid Ul Azha, it’ll be interesting to see the response. Anthology films are rarely made for the big screen and are mostly made for OTT platforms as it is. However, they are almost all genre specific projects with an overarching theme.
