Directed by immensely talented Sarmad Sultan Khoosat, “Zindagi Tamasha” is his second feature film after “Manto” (2015). Starring Eman Suleman, Samiya Mumtaz, Arif Hasan and Ali Qureshi in pivotal roles, the film is set against the Rabi’ al-Awwal celebrations in the city of Lahore.
The director says on his Instagram, “Zindagi Tamasha (Circus of Life) is an intimate portrait of a family as well as a scorching political commentary on little gods on this earth who police our private passions.”
Keeping in mind that 12 of Rabi’ al-Awwal is not very far, the producers have released some character posters and teasers, kick starting the promotions for the film. The Film is also set to premiere at the prestigious Busan International film festival, held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea.
Directed and co-produced by Sarmad along with his sister Kanwal Khoosat, “Zindagi Tamasha” is a bilingual movie, which is written by Nirmal Bano, a fresh graduate from NCA and is shot entirely in the beautiful city of Lahore.
Film’s theatrical trailer is all set to release on the 29th of September and the film is expected to release in theatres somewhere in November.
