Domestic violence has always been a burning issue of our society. On daily basis we see more and more cases of domestic abuse and TV shows and celebrities educating and preaching about it. But what when influencers like these celebrities themselves get accused of the same? This seems to be the case with Mohsin Abbas Haider, whose wife came up with allegations of domestic violence against the singer, actor and host.
In a Facebook post Fatema Sohail, wife of Mohsin Abbas gave a detailed account of events that went by. The first incident took place during Fatema’s pregnancy on 26th November 2018 when she caught Mohsin cheating on her with his girlfriend and instead of being ashamed, he thrashed her.

”He started beating me, I was pregnant at that time! He pulled me from hair, dragged me on floor, kicked me several times, punched me on face & threw me on the wall”, says Fatema in her post however pertaining to fear and lack of confidence she didn’t report it back then.
We all know the fuss that went around Mohsin Abbas’ s speaking up on his depression and here’s what his wife had to say about it ”On 20th May 2019 I was blessed with a beautiful boy., I had a surgery due to complication. While I was in operation theater in Lahore, my husband was in Karachi sleeping with his GF, an emerging model/actor. He later posts depressing statuses to get public attention. My family stood with me but my better half chose not to. Mohsin visited after 2 days of delivery just to take images and gain some publicity. He did not bother to check on his son. It was only a drama for social appreciation”
Drama doesn’t end here as on 17th July when Fatema visited his house to ask him take his sons responsibility, he beat her again and refused to do anything for his son. And that was when she decided it was enough of it and posted pictures of bruises on her face resulting from the abuse and asking him to meet her in court.
Mohsin’s Stance
When an entertainment portal reached out to Mohsin for his stance, here’s how he responded,
“I’ll definitely come out with my truth. I’m happy, she did this. I was waiting for this for so long. I’ll now open up with the truth in front of the public, along with the proofs. I will tell the world what happened in our relationship for three years. But I’m happy that this toxic relationship will leave her and me soon,” said Mohsin adding that he will be addressing a press conference with proofs very soon.

There can be no justification for physical abuse but we will have to see what Mohsin comes up with.
