“Half Fry” is Not Shelved, Will Resume Shoot in April”, Says Abu Aleeha

The power couple of the Industry Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz had last year signed director Abu Aleeha’s action-comedy titled “Half Fry“. However not much was heard about the project ever since.

Galaxy Lollywood reported about the project being shelved for now. This came as quite a shock since both Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain’s fans were anticipating the project. We contacted the director of the movie Abu Aleeha himself to hear his side of the story.

Talking to Pakistani Cinema the Kataksha director clarified that the project had not been shelved.

” The film started its shoot initially in November however we couldn’t shoot in December and January due to unavailability of Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz pertaining to their marriage and honeymoon.”

“We were supposed to resume the shoot at January end however Atif Ali who is a good friend wanted Yasir Hussain to do his film ” Peechy Toh Dekho”, and Yasir and I mutually agreed to return to “Half Fry” after he completes shooting for it. In the meanwhile I went on to my next; “Once Upon A Time In Karachi”.

Both “Once Upon A Time In Karachi” and “Peechy Toh Dekho” are expected to wrap up there shoot in March and according to Aleeha we will sit together to discuss when to resume the “Half Fry” shoot after that.

Whats clear from Abu Aleeha’s side of the coin is that the project is happening for sure. Keep reading PakistaniCinema.Net for more on the project.
