Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan starrer has not just shattered every existing box office record in Pakistan, but it also has created some unimaginable new records. It will remain an uphill task for any local or Hollywood film in coming years to break these records.
While the film has already crossed 115 crore PKR at Pakistani box office, as per stats shared by trade analyst Ali Zain, it has collected 54.2 crore PKR in 32 weeks from Lahore alone. In a country where hitting 50 crore for a film in lifetime from all over remains a huge deal, a film minting these numbers from just one city is simy phenomenal.
The film was released at 17 cinemas in Lahore. But among all venues, it is CUE cinema that took the lead with more than 20 crores. This means that approximately 37% business from Lahore came from single cinema property, i.e, CUE. This itself remains a record for a single cinema property in Pakistan to generate more than 20 crore through a single film.
