Trailer Review: ‘Allahyar and the 100 Flowers of God’ Promises an Animated Epic

The full trailer for ‘Allahyar and the 100 Flowers of God’ is here, and boy was it worth the wait! The fantastic visuals and grand scale aside, this is Pakistan’s first animated epic. And it’s the first animated film which could hold mass appeal for Pakistani children who have grown up watching Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks animated features.

The trailer shows Allahyar in a strange, futuristic city, completely opposite to his mountainous home. Along with Hero, his fowl companion, he’s on a mission against the forces of evil, and more importantly, to save his father.

New characters are introduced in the shape of friendly robots, huge menacing machines, and a tyrannical villain.

The trailer for the 100 Flowers has been playing in cinemas for some time now. I myself first saw it on the big screen. By the time it ended, its epic scale was obvious. Huge robot armies facing off, a massive, mechanized city holding secrets and treasures, and the expanse of a strange, desolate world, are all what the silver screen is made for.

We at PakistaniCinema.Net are really rooting for this one. You can watch the trailer here.

‘Allahyar and the 100 Flowers of God’ stars Anum Zaidi as Allahyar, Azfar Jafri as Hero, and a huge cast including Iqra Aziz, Humayun Saeed, Ali Zafar, and Bushra Ansari.

You can find it in theaters this Eid Ul Azha.
