Remastered Version of ‘Sar Kata Insaan’ to Hit Theaters in September 2023

Director-Producer Saeed Rizvi has announced that his 1994 film “Sar Kata Insaan” has been remastered and will hit theaters in September of 2023

Details of the Remaster of Sar Kata Insaan

The film’s original 35 mm negative was laser scanned into a 6.5k digital transfer. The transfer will be compressed to a 4K digital print for exhibition in cinemas. The film’s soundtrack has also been remastered to Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound.

This constitutes a complete analogue to digital transfer and is perhaps the first time such a project has been undertaken in Pakistan.

Previous Remasters

Previously, the 1967 film ‘Zinda Laash’ had been remastered by the company Mondo Macabro from the UK in 2003. It is available on DVD on their website.

Baahoo Films also remastered the original ‘Maula Jatt’ and had planned to release it in 3D in theatres back in 2014. However, that never came to pass.

Sar Kata Insaan’s remastered print will be released in theaters in September this year and may provide some nostalgic value for old film fans. The film stars Babra Sharif, Gulam Mohayuddin, Izhar Qazi, Sapna, and Asif Khan.
